Why It’s One of My Favorites

Glade Creek Farm is one of those venues that can transform with every wedding. The space has true versatility. Indoor and outdoor options for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. No two events ever feel the same. The chapel windows are breathtaking, the hydrangea bushes make summer and fall weddings feel dreamy, and the field at golden hour is unmatched. The sun hits the bride and groom perfectly every single time.

And Rhonda (Venue Owner)… she’s a gem. Her communication and care for her couples make planning here genuinely enjoyable.

• On‑site décor available, including the ability to use real candles

• The lodge and cottage are a very short drive from the main venue. It’s quick, but not directly on the same property.

Why It’s One of My Favorites

The name says it all, the view is breathtaking. A wedding here truly feels like you’re celebrating on top of the world. The mountain backdrop is unmatched, and the entire property gives you that quiet, elevated, tucked‑away feeling couples love.

And Shellie (Venue Owner) is wonderful. She’s helpful, responsive, and makes the planning process feel easy.

Why It’s One of My Favorites

Valley Park offers the best of both worlds. The ballroom gives you an elegant, upscale feel, while the pavilion brings in that rustic West Virginia charm with views of the creek and surrounding wildlife. It’s a great option for couples who want a classic look without losing the natural beauty of the area.

• Flexible room sections with wall dividers to scale the space

• Seating capacity up to 450 (I recommend 350 or fewer for comfortable spacing and a good dance floor)

• Friday–Sunday facility access

• Versatile indoor/outdoor locations for ceremony, cocktail and reception.

Things to Note

• The venue is located inside a public park, so Saturday events may overlap. For example, during this particular wedding, a little league event was happening nearby. It did not take away from the wedding day magic!

Daniel’s Vineyard is such a unique gem in southern West Virginia. The greenery, the vines, and the overall atmosphere make it perfect for both intimate weddings and larger celebrations. It has that relaxed vineyard vibe while still feeling elevated and romantic.

• Intimate ceremony location with a covered pavilion for reception and cocktail hour

• Friday–Sunday facility access

• Beer and wine available on site, including wine from the vineyard itself

• Ample parking

• Easy access for guests and vendors

• Pavilion ceremony space with a 200‑guest capacity (Recommended 150-guest count for comfortable spacing and a good dance floor inside the pavilion)

• Plenty of flat lands if you choose to add a tent for larger guest counts

• Indoor or outdoor cocktail hour options

Hidden Springs Barn has such a peaceful charm. The indoor/outdoor versatility makes it easy to customize your wedding day, and the property itself is incredibly photogenic. From the pond, to the open fields, to the built‑in ceremony benches. The history of the family land adds a meaningful touch that couples really appreciate.

Why It’s One of My Favorites

Lake Stephens Events Center gives you that elevated‑backyard vibe. It's warm, inviting, and tucked away. Even though it’s located within a park, the event center itself is completely secluded, so your wedding feels private and hidden from any outside activity. There’s also a short drive on the property where the bride and groom can slip away for private photos overlooking the lake.

Logistical Benefits

• Clear signage throughout the park to guide guests directly to the venue

• Two additional spaces for bridal and groom suites, with plenty of room for hair and makeup

• Flat outdoor ceremony area with beautiful trees and fall foliage

• Comfortable capacity for 150 guests

• Option to rent the space for two days

• Tables and chairs included

• Stage available—perfect for a sweetheart table or bridal party table

• Back patio that can be decorated and elevated for cocktail hour

Things to Note

• There is no onsite coordinator for the venue. Your support team will be the main ones in charge of the wedding day.
